Amendments
(project revision)		 An amendment must be obtained should the applicant want to make changes after issuance of the 'Letter of Findings' such as but not limited to: increasing the # of units or parts, changes to the layout, switching project type (WSSC Built or SEP.) Project changes requiring new hydraulic planning analysis (HPA) will also require additional payment of HPA fee. $325
Database Search and Contamination Assessment Database Search and Initial Assessment for Possible Contamination. $300
Government Referred Plan Review (major) Major Development – over 10 units or commercial. $1,100
Government Referred Plan Review (minor) Minor Development – 10 or less residential units. $550
Hydraulic Planning Analysis (HPA) Fees
Hydraulic modeling (W&S, 1- 3 parts) Hydraulic modeling for proposed water and sewer extension must be reviewed by WSSC to ensure that sizes, alignments, etc. are compatible with WSSC’s Systems and with planned development. (Glossary) $975
Hydraulic modeling (W/S, 1- 3 parts) Hydraulic modeling for proposed water (only) or sewer (only) extension must be reviewed by WSSC to ensure that sizes, alignments, etc. are compatible with WSSC’s Systems and with planned development. $550

Pressure sewer system surcharge Each pressure sewer main that connects to a gravity sewer main via a transition manhole is defined as a separate system. $225

Off-Site Service Connection Reimbursement

Current cost of service connection for each non-applicant connection. Amount needs to accompany Connection Permit Application. Applicant required to build connection. Upon release of service, applicant will be reimbursed the paid service connection fee by WSSC.

 

* WSSC will pay applicant for service connections at prevailing 'service connection rate' for connections constructed by applicant.

Simple - Relocation Review Simple relocation review. $225

Design Review - System Integrity Review Fees
System Integrity Design Review The fee for reviewing submitted plans’ compliance with results of hydraulic review and WSSC design requirements. No more than two reviews are included.

* $6,500, if total development is 10 residential units or less then fee is $3,250.

Submission Fee for (rejected) Design Review A fee to recover WSSC costs incurred for processing a plan review submission and rejecting it for having insufficient information or adequacies. $275
Extra Design Review Fees
Additional Reviews Additional reviews of unsigned plans and drawings. $2,000
Minor Revisions Minor revisions of signed plans and drawings. $950
Major Revision/Splitting Major revisions or splitting of signed plans and drawings. $2,000

Construction and Release Fees

Additional review Additional review by the Systems Inspection Group of contract documents and/or as-builts. $175

Partial Release Fee is for administrative work in changing records for partial releases - does not cover any required additional testing. Fee is for each partial release. $750

Retests or Additional Tests For re-testing failed tests or for additional tests required for various reasons. $175

Site Utility Inspection Base Fee Base fee for WSSC inspection of site utility systems $1,000

Dishonored Check  Checks no honored for any reason. $30
'Hold Harmless' Agreement  Preparation of 'Hold Harmless' Agreement. $700
Rights-of-Way Acquisition Reimbursement for SEP The applicant pays all direct costs of the ROW, Appraisals, title reports, and court fees etcetera; plus direct cost and overhead for staff time (including attorneys.) Up front deposit of $10,000 is required. Actual Cost
Rights-of-Way Release WSSC researches and reviews the description and records the final document.

Transfer of Ownership

If the property owner or project name change has occurred: a ‘Transfer of Ownership’ amendment is processed to reflect new information.

 

Note - any refund payment is payable to the ‘Applicant’ of record at completion of all conditions. Transfer of Ownerships can be done in conjunction with a Project Amendment if applicable.
